TP-Link Omada Wi-Fi6 System, Cat6 Wiring in whole unit
Mount Nicholson is located at Mid-Levels East, right above Aberdeen Tunnel. With 4 apartments, 19 houses, providing 67 residential units. Is one of the most expensive properties in Asia.
This time, Our client living at Tower B, is willing to replace all 802.11ac APs installed a decade ago, since slow downloading and unstable often occurs.
Solution
We decided to go for TP-Link Omada Wi-Fi 6 Access Point(AP) System, Since the whole building only have i-Cable service up to 1000m and there's existing Cat-6 Cables.
Since the walls are thicker than usual, plus furnitures like closets, wine cabinet blocking most of the signal, 7 APs are installed, one for each area as before.
The hardware installation is very smooth, With Omada Cloud Controller, we're able to setup up to 16 SSIDs(wi-fi name), Guest Wi-Fi, Time limits of WLAN access etc, and also remote control and monitor of the whole system.
Result
The improvement is significant, download and upload speed increased to about 7-800mbps from 100mbps, our client is satisfied with it. The system should serve well in the next decade.
